A 40-year-old female driver has been charged after a teenager on a dirt bike was critically injured while riding with friends south of Perth.
WA Police say the incident occurred on Georgetown Drive in Safety Bay about 5.30pm on Tuesday while a group of friends were allegedly riding an unlicensed Yamaha motorcycle along the road.

One bike rider lost control of the motorcycle and crashed, police said, with friends of the 16-year-old boy claiming he is currently in a coma, having undergone brain surgery on Wednesday at Royal Perth Hospital.
The woman, who was driving a Suzuki Grand Vitara has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
Four bikes were riding as part of a group, one bike purchased just the day before, friends said, but witnesses claimed they were seen doing wheelies.

“Well we’ve come up here, and she’s just started swerving and there’s nothing he could do,” one of the boys from the group told 9News Perth.
“He’s lost control and hit the tree.
“We were going the speed limit until she came up.”
