Hello and welcome to our coverage of Saturday night’s NRL battle between the Eels and Raiders. It’s Dom Brock on blog duties tonight.
The Eels are still in a rebuilding phase and have lost their last three games but have a real chance to end that streak against last year’s minor premiers Canberra, who are struggling for form themselves and are without NSW Blues stars Hudson Young and Ethan Strange.
The Raiders finished atop the ladder last year but have lost three of their past four and four of their past six matches, and find themselves in 13th place at the midpoint of this season.
Star Parramatta playmaker Mitch Moses hasn’t played since round 11 and though he’s recovered from injury he’s gone straight into NSW camp, so Ronald Volkman and Joash Papalii will again line up in the halves with the Eels boasting a very young playmaking spine.
Kick-off is at 7.30pm.
