Wests Tigers star Adam Doueihi’s shoulder had to be put back in after he dislocated it while scoring a try in a major blow.

The Tigers were thrashed 52-10 by the Sharks on Sunday afternoon as they suffered a huge setback having won seven of nine coming into the game.

And they were already on the backfoot when Doueihi was unable to get up after scoring the Tigers’ first try in the 11th minute.

The 27-year-old bundled over to reduce the deficit to 6-4, but appeared to jar his arm as he swivveled and touched down.

Doueihi instantly looked in a lot of pain and was unable to celebrate with his teammates.

He kept his right shoulder still as doctors ran on to attend to him, before he was forced to trudge off down the tunnel.

Later in the game, Fox League’s Tiana Penitani said: “Update on Adam Doueihi. He has confirmed that his shoulder did pop out and had to get put back in.

“So a little dislocation there.”

Doueihi will now go for scans amid fears his NSW Blues debut in the State of Origin could be in doubt.

Analysing the injury on social media, NRL Physio said: “Wide recovery range pending scans & further assessment.

“As a general guide: minimal structural damage & good prospects for joint stability: rehab for 3-6 weeks.

“Significant damage/joint unstable & immediate reconstruction surgery required: 3-5 months.

“Surgery often required at some stage but players can attempt to delay this til postseason – but re-injury risk is elevated moving forward.”

The first Origin game takes place in Sydney in less than four weeks’ time.

Doueihi has made an impressive start to the 2026 season, scoring two tries and 10 goals.

But the Tigers, who sit fifth in the NRL, could now be forced to play without the ex-Rabbitohs man for their trip to the Storm, before a crunch clash at home to Manly.
