Zendaya reveals her favourite thing about playing Rue in ‘Euphoria’
Zendaya reflects on portraying Rue in ‘Euphoria’

Zendaya has played several well-known characters on-screen. However, portraying Rue in Euphoria arguably earned her the most laurels.

An example of this was shared by the actress who was promoting her latest movie, The Drama, co-starring Robert Pattinson, but a question about her role in the HBO drama popped up.

“What’s Zendaya’s favourite thing about playing Rue in Euphoria?,” the actress asked her co-star.

In a hilarious response, the Twilight star replied, “Doing drugs all day.”

Laughing off his joke, Zendaya went on to share the real favourite thing, stating, “The people who have like connected to her.”

In separate news, Barbie Ferreira, a star who left the show in 2022, recently reflected on her decision.

“In fact, it was kind of the opposite of dramatic, where it was like a long process of being like, ‘I don’t know if this is it for me,’” she told the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.

“And then having conversations with people and us trying to figure out how to make Kat like a fully fleshed-out character. And it just wasn’t going anywhere.”

“So I just think I truly was just like, ‘I think since we can’t find anything, and we can’t land on anything, I’m like, let me just go, like, let me just go do my thing.’ Because it’s a long time and you can’t leave.”

She continued, “I don’t need to be on the biggest TV show on earth if I’m not acting, you know? So I’m like, ‘I would rather do an indie movie where I’m acting, I’m flexing my muscles, and I’m being creatively asked to do things rather than kind of sitting around to be like a background character.’

“I don’t know. And some people are like, ‘I would do that.’ I’m like, ‘Good for you.’ If you want to be a background character for nine months, that’s totally fine and cool. But I was like, I want to do other stuff. I want to produce like indie cinema. I don’t have time to do it.”

Euphoria is streaming on HBO Max.
