Why they still are tied together
Inside Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Furness’ troubles after divorce: Why they still are tied together

Hugh Jackman and his ex-wife Deborra-lee Furness have started to grow angsty since; even after divorce they are finding it hard to drop the one thing that is still tying them together.

A well placed insider broke this down while speaking to Woman’s Day and explained that the ‘tie’ is a New York City apartment worth around US$38.9 million (around AUD$57.5 million). It has been sitting on the market for a while, leading to a price drop of nearly US$28.75 million.

For those unversed with the specifications, Woman’s Day reports it is located in West Village, with five-bedroom, six-bathrooms and is over three levels, floors eight through ten of a boutique high-rise.

However, it is unable to move and regarding this an insider claims, “it’s true the market’s slow and this price drop is more realistic post-pandemic, but the fact is Hugh and Deb want it sold – and the sooner the better. They’re both over it. The divorce, the house of broken dreams – and each other.”

Theres also the fact that the sale isn’t just about getting rid of real estate, infact, for Hugh, the man that has been divorced since May of last year, “it’s the final hurdle in getting serious with Sutton [Foster]. He wants a new fresh start with no more entanglements with Deb and feels he owes that to both of them. He knows Sutton’s holding out on setting a wedding date until he’s fully free. Deb has made her life hell and she wants him to be as far removed from her as possible. It’s a deal breaker for her.”

Before signing off they also said, “Hugh and Deb will always play nice when the kids and cameras are around, but things are irreparable between them. She wants nothing to do with him anymore. They’re both done. They’ve never been more desperate to move on – and getting rid of this property, even if it costs them $10m, is the last obstacle.”
