Donald Trump has defiantly said the US “hasn’t even started destroying what’s left in Iran”.
His comments came hours after a under construction civilian road bridge was damaged near Tehran killing eight, Iran said.
Targeting civilian infrastructure is an escalation which could harm Iranians with no connection to the military and could be seen as a war crime.
Iran has said it downed a US fighter jet over one of Iran’s Persian Gulf islands.
The Pentagon has not confirmed the downing but Iranian media has said US helicopters, planes and drone re in frantic search for the air force pilot.
The capture of American pilots would be a propaganda coup for Tehran.
Meanwhile there are reports that Iran may have as many as half its missiles left which would give it significantly more firepower that thought after a month of war.
