Donald Trump announced on social media on Sunday (Washington time) that a US delegation will travel to Pakistan on Monday night for the second round of negotiations with Iran.
It comes as a two-week ceasefire is set to end this week – without a deal in sight.
US Vice President JD Vance and top Trump aides Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff will lead the negotiations, a White House official.
The Serena hotel, where the first round of talks was held, is clearing rooms for the talks, asking guests to leave by Sunday afternoon, Bloomberg reported.
Trump made further threats to Iran today if a deal was not reached next week, writing on Truth Social: “We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran,” he adds.
