A man accused of stabbing a boy with a disability in a South Brisbane park playground has been granted bail by the Supreme Court.

Sefik Ferizovic has been charged over the alleged stabbing of the boy, aged 16, in a Mansfield park last year.

Police allege the boy was sitting on a swing when Mr Ferizovic attacked him with a butter knife.

The child only suffered minor injuries.

Mr Ferizovic was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm while armed.

He is also charged with two other assault occasioning bodily harm offences in the same year.

The first offence relates to an incident on June 25 in Upper Mount Gravatt while another relates to an incident in Strathpine on August 25 – three days after the alleged altercation with the boy.

On Thursday in Brisbane Supreme Court, Supreme Court Justice Paul Smith granted bail to Mr Ferizovic.

He is next due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 24, 2026.
