Qantas is ramping up its Europe services this northern summer, adjusting its international schedule from mid-April to meet growing demand and fill gaps left by disruptions in the Middle East.
The ongoing conflict in the region has forced major carriers, including Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways, to cancel thousands of flights through key hubs such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha.
Qantas said it is redeploying aircraft from US routes and some domestic services until late July to accommodate passengers heading to Europe.
The airline’s Perth-to-Paris direct service will be discontinued, replaced with an expanded Sydney-to-Paris route via Singapore, offering five return flights per week.
To support this, Perth-to-Singapore services will increase from seven to 10 weekly flights, timed to connect with Qantas’ Singapore-Paris services.
Meanwhile, the Perth-to-Rome direct service will move from four flights per week to daily departures, while Perth-to-London direct flights remain largely unchanged, except for the required refuelling stop in Singapore en route to Heathrow.
Qantas confirmed that any affected passengers will be contacted with alternative flight options.
