Two men were arrested on the Crown Casino gaming floor after heavily armed police swarmed Burswood on Sunday following reports a gun had been brandished at a driver.

Police seized what is believed to be a novelty cigarette lighter and arrested the men after a report that a firearm was allegedly pointed from a white station sedan at another car on Teddington Road about 10am.

Police seized what is believed to be a novelty cigarette lighter (inset), after swarming Crown Perth and Burswood on Sunday.

A WA Police spokesperson said several units were deployed to the area, where a vehicle matching the description of the station sedan was spotted entering the casino car park.

The men were seen exiting the car and heading into the casino, with police carrying specialist equipment and long-arm firearms deployed as part of the operation.

They were arrested without incident by officers from the regional operations group. A search of the casino complex located what was suspected to be a novelty cigarette lighter that resembled a pistol in the food court toilets.

“No firearm was seen on the gaming floor,” the police spokesperson said.

The police spokesperson said the men were helping police with their inquiries, which remained ongoing.
