Police have released fresh images of at-large alleged triple murderer Julian Ingram leaving town after the alleged gun rampage that left his heavily pregnant former partner and two others dead in the state’s Central West.

The CCTV images capture the white dual-cab Ford Ranger utility on Loughnan Street, Lake Cargelligo at 4.18pm on Thursday afternoon, moments after Ingram is alleged to have shot dead Sophie Quinn, 24, and her friend John Harris, 32, and Sophie’s aunt Nerida Quinn, 50. Kaleb Macqueen, 19, was also injured in the shooting.

The utility’s tray carries work tools and a silver toolbox, and the vehicle bears the registration DM-07-GZ on the number plate. Ingram worked as a gardener at for Lachlan Shire Council, and police believe a council magnet adorns the driver’s side door, while an emergency orange light bar is stationed on the roof.

The images come as the hunt for Ingram marked its sixth day on Tuesday.

Police continued their search efforts to Mount Hope, about 100 kilometres north-west of Lake Cargelligo, after receiving reports that Ingram was spotted in the area over the weekend. Heavily armed tactical police scoured a property in the small township on Tuesday, with assistance from aerial officers.

Ingram’s local knowledge of the roads, farms and sheds have complicated the manhunt, Assistant Commissioner Andy Holland has said. The fugitive is regarded as an experienced bushman capable of surviving long periods in isolation with finite resources.

Macqueen, the sole survivor of the alleged attack, recounted how Ingram “laughed” before allegedly shooting him outside the home of Nerida Quinn on Thursday.

“[Nerida] obviously went towards the ute and I heard ‘boom boom’, she was holding her neck and he was laughing and [allegedly] gave her one good shot to the head and she was gone,” Ingram told Nine News.

The search for Julian Ingram, 37, continues in an area at Mount Hope, north of Lake Cargelligo.
From left: Sophie Quinn, 24; Nerida Quinn, 50; and friend John Harris, 32, were killed on Thursday.

“It was fight or flight – I just had to save myself, not that I could have done anything with Nerida anyway. I probably would have ended up dying if I went over to [her].”

Up to 100 officers have joined the search for Ingram, also known as Julian Pierpoint, since he was seen driving north to the nearby town of Euabalong on Thursday afternoon.
