An e-bike rider has died after colliding with an orange bus in Perth’s south.

The incident happened near a roundabout at the intersection of Tunnicliffe St and Parmelia Ave at Parmelia about 3.30pm on Thursday.

Paramedics rushed a 37-year-old man to Rockingham Hospital for treatment, but he later died from injuries he sustained in the crash.

Orange buses are used in Western Australia to transport students to school with special needs and students in regional areas.

Police said the 59-year-old female bus driver and passengers were not injured in the collision.

“Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for any witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers,” a police spokesman said.

“Police urge all motorists to take care on the road. Drive safely and keep in mind the wellbeing of yourself and others.”

Anyone with footage relating to the crash is urged to provide it to police.
