Collingwood have joined the race to sign Lachie Neale, according to the Herald Sun.
The Brisbane talisman is out of contract at the end of the season and is weighing up his options.
Several clubs have shown interest in Neale, with the Pies now a potential destination.
Collingwood have reportedly made an inquiry to Neale with regards to his future.
They view him as the perfect teammate to protect star man Nick Daicos.
He could also be the ideal long-term replacement for Scott Pendlebury, who could retire at the end of the year.
However Neale could reject their advances in favour of staying at Brisbane, or moving to Western Australia.
He has been heavily linked with a switch to West Coast or a return to Fremantle after ex-wife Jules moved to Perth with their two children, Piper and Freddie, following their messy separation.
Another option for Neale is South Australia, where his parents live.
They could help take care of his children with Neale possibly playing for Adelaide or South Adelaide.
Despite the difficult break-up, both Neale and Jules are making sure they put their kids first, with Neale making the flight to Perth whenever he gets the chance during the current AFL season.
It is possible that is how his situation will remain, as it is understood Neale is yet to seriously consider leaving Brisbane.
Should he reject Collingwood, they could instead move for Gold Coast forward Ben King, and they have room in their salary cap to do so.
