The man authorities have been hunting in relation to the death of a five-year-old girl in Alice Springs, is now in police custody.
“A short time ago, the Northern Territory Police Force located and arrested Jefferson Lewis at a residence in Alice Springs,” police media released on Thursday night.
The body of the little girl, who her family have asked to be called Kumanjayi Little Baby, was found about midday local time on Thursday, just five kilometres from where she went missing late last Saturday night.
