A decision has still not been made for an Iranian delegation to attend peace talks with the US in Pakistan, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman, Esmail Baghaei, has told the BBC.

Baghaei was reportedly concerned about the US naval blockade of Iranian ports and US President Donald Trump’s threats to strike Iranian energy infrastructure when the ceasefire expires on Wednesday.

“We went to this negotiation with good faith and sense of seriousness, but you have a negotiating party that has shown its lack of seriousness, lack of good faith,” Baghaei said, according to the BBC.

“They’re changing their position frequently, these flip-flops, threats of war crimes.”

Baghaei also told Iran’s state TV there has been “no final decision” on whether to attend ceasefire talks because of “unacceptable actions from the American counterpart”.

Meanwhile, Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammed Bagher Ghalibaf said Tehran has “new cards on the battlefield” that haven’t yet been revealed.
