What is the fuel support payment?

The payment is a cost-of-living measure to help Western Australians with fuel costs. It is a one-off payment aimed at helping with fuel costs in the wake of price hikes caused by the ongoing war in the Middle East.

Who is eligible to receive the payment?

The funding is available for anyone with a valid Western Australian driver’s licence.

It is also included for drivers with a learner’s permit, a provisional permit – or P-plates – and those on extraordinary licenses.

This also includes people with a valid motorcycle licence or heavy vehicle licence, although the payment is only available once for each driver.

What if you have a cancelled or suspended licence?

If you have a cancelled or suspended licence you will not be eligible to receive the payment. It is only for valid WA licences.

Do I have to spend the payment on fuel?

Technically, no. All applicants will receive $100 into their bank account via the ServiceWA app.
