Alex de Minaur sailed through to the second round of the French Open with a 6-4 6-4 6-2 win over Brit Toby Samuel.
It was a comfortable victory for the eighth seed, who progressed past the first round in Paris for the fifth year in a row.

He barely had to break sweat despite the 32 degree weather in the French capital, brushing aside Samuel after holding all but one of his service games.
De Minaur looked comfortably on the clay service and produced a number of excellent winners to sink his opponent.
One devastating cross-court shot even caused Samuel to lose his footing and take a tumble in the third set.
The qualifier hit the ground hard in an incident which made the audience wince.
Fortunately he was uninjured and able to complete the match, though he was unable to mount a comeback.
Samuel made his grand slam debut at Roland Garros after coming through qualifying.
But he was unable to dent De Minaur’s armour, with the Aussie’s ground play proving too much for the youngster to deal with.
De Minaur won the first set in just 38 minutes and achieved victory in under two hours.
He was still fresh enough to sign several autographs for fans after the match.
