Local horseman Cody Morgan heads to his home track at Tamworth on Tuesday with five chances set to start across three races.

Morgan will have two runners in the Benson Excavation Class 2 Handicap (1400m) with Reflecting Fame (Christian Reith) and Magic Shot (Jacob Stiff) lining up.

He has Bravaro (Grant Buckley) and Shotgun Bella (Reith) in the KCE Civil Contractors Class 2 Handicap (1200m), while Halo Phenomena (Braith Nock) rounds out the team in the Affinity Roofing New England Country Boosted Class 3 Handicap (1000m).

Halo Phenomena is a former Godolphin galloper trained by James Cummings for its first five starts before joining the Morgan camp.

“He’s a well-bred Exceed And Excel galloper out of Dazzler,” Morgan said.

“I gave him two trials earlier this year before he had his first start for me when winning at Tamworth in April.

“He resumes again on Tuesday, and he has had a nice trial to prepare for it, so he looks set to run well fresh again.”

Reflecting Fame is another galloper that started its career in a rival stable, with Anthony and Sam Freedman in Victoria, and has won two races since joining Morgan’s team.

“He won a couple on end at Tamworth and Moree in August and September of last year and looked good in them,” Morgan said.
