Police have searched a Gold Coast property owned by Dr Vahid Reza Adib, the partner of former Queensland premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.
Police confirmed a crime scene was established at the Burleigh Heads apartment as part of an ongoing investigation on Thursday.
“Detectives and specialist officers attended the address on Goodwin Terrace around 11am and investigations are ongoing,” a police spokesman said.
“No further information is available at this time.”
Forensic officers inspected the Burleigh Heads apartment and removed items from the property, 7News reported.
Ms Palaszczuk is not believed to have any involvement in the investigation. No charges have been laid.
The former premier is due to give a talk at the Robina Library on the Gold Coast on Thursday evening as part of a book tour.
Palaszczuk recently published a memoir, The Politics of Being Me, and is due to headline a Meet the Author event to promote her new book about her life in public office.
More to come.
