Police have charged a second man following an investigation into offensive behaviour at the pedestrian bridge where the Bondi terror attack took place.
In a statement, NSW Police said officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command and Operation Shelter commenced an investigation after receiving complaints about the actions of two men on the Campbell Pde bridge about 7pm on January 31.
One of the men was alleged to have mimicked firing upon people near the bridge.
Their investigations led to the arrest of Zayne Jason William McMillan, 22, on February 4.
“Following further inquiries, yesterday (Tuesday), police attended a supermarket on Kiaora Ln in Double Bay, and arrested a 23-year-old man on an outstanding warrant,” NSW Police said.
“He was taken to Surry Hills Police Station where the warrant was executed, and he was charged with behave in offensive manner in/near public place/school and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal).”
The man fronted court on Tuesday, before being granted conditional bail to appear before Waverley Local Court on May 20.
Earlier this month, McMillan was jailed over a series of incidents on January 31 during which he unleashed expletive-laden, anti-Semitic rants at terrified locals.
He had pleaded guilty to three counts of behaving in an offensive manner in public and two counts of intimidation.
The court was told that he posed on the footbridge, where 15 people were killed just seven weeks earlier, pretending to hold a gun before being involved in a series of confrontations across Bondi and Bondi Junction where he shouted “f**k the Jews”.
At the time of the offences, McMillan was on a cocktail of alcohol, ketamine, MDMA and magic mushrooms.
He was sentenced to 12 months in prison, with a non-parole period of nine months and will be eligible for parole in November.
