Disney+ is lifting its subscription prices for the second time in just over a year.

Users of the popular streaming platform received a notification in their email inboxes on Thursday informing them standard monthly subscriptions would rise from $15.99 to $17.99 a month for new customers or from the next billing date for existing customers.

For those who pay for their subscription annually, plans will cost an extra $20, lifting from $159.99 to $179.99.

Premium monthly plans will go from $20.99 to $24.99 a month, or an extra $30 a year for annual subscribers.

The pricing changes will come into effect on May 28, making it the second time Disney+ has lifted prices since March 2025.

As the prices go up, a new ‘standard’ tier of subscription will be introduced with ads, for just $9.99 a month.
