Sin-bin can’t be far away – Brisbane lead
That’s already three set re-starts given against the Storm. Captain Cameron Munster was just issued a warning by referee Grant Atkins. The Broncos decide to take the two points. If they’d taken another set, a try – or a Storm player going to the bin – looked likely. Broncos lead 2-0
Good start from Brisbane
The Broncos responded well to Melbourne’s first attacking raid. A strong tackle forced an error from Trent Loeiro. Then, in their next set, they get a penalty of their own. Now it’s time for them to ask a question of the Storm defence.
After a couple of set re-starts, they force a drop out.

Game on
Brisbane kick-off and we are underway. A good 80-minutes from the Broncos and they are off to Canberra next week for a qualifying final. The first set contains nothing of great note – that’s a good sign for the Storm as they got to their kick without any fuss.
Now, over to the Broncos.
Game time nears
We’re just a few minutes away from the action. Brisbane will have a big crowd behind them, but the Storm look the better of the two teams on paper.
After their horrid second-half performance against the Roosters last week, Craig Bellamy will want to see a response from his side. After all, their next match will be a finals fixture.
Lockyer in (London) Broncos talks
Brisbane Broncos legend Darren Lockyer will fly out to England on Thursday night as he and a consortium explore an opportunity to purchase a stake in the London Broncos, a potential Super League franchise.

A big week in Brisbane – Part I
Drinking water from an (unused) toilet probably wasn’t on everyone’s bingo card this NRL season.
But that’s what we got on Monday, when none other than Reece Walsh decided it was time for another of his prank videos. After landing a right hook on the head of a (willing participant) friend earlier in 2025, this time he did it all himself.
In case you missed it, or want to re-live it, here it is.
