Bad Bunny shares real reason behind skipping US concerts

Bad Bunny has recently shared real reason behind his decision not to perform in the United States.

The Puerto Rican singer revealed that he decided not to include US in world tour because of security concerns due to ICE raids.

“There were many reasons why I didn’t show up in the US and none of them were out of hate,” explained the 31-year-old in a new interview with I-D Magazine.

Monaco crooner mentioned that he has performed in the US many times and all of the shows have been “successful and magnificent”.

Bunny opened up that his shows have been open to all the communities who are willing to travel abroad.

“People from the US could come here to see the show. Latinos and Puerto Ricans of the US could also travel here, or to any part of the world,” said the Grammy winner.

However, Bunny mentioned that he came to this decision after deliberation as there’s a possibility that immigration authorities could target his audience.

“There was the issue of like ICE could be outside my concert. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about,” added the rapper.

This isn’t the first time that Bunny expressed concerns over ICE. The singer previously had raised voice against ICE back in June and even posted footage of ICE arrest on social media.

Meanwhile, the current Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour spans 57 shows across 23 cities worldwide, including the United Kingdom, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Sweden, Poland and Belgium.
