Livigno: Jakara Anthony has bounced back from the heartbreak of missing a medal three days ago to claim gold in the women’s dual moguls on Saturday and become the first Australian to win two Winter Olympic golds.
It’s Australia’s third gold of the 2026 Olympics and the most the nation has ever won at a single Winter Games after Cooper Woods won gold in the moguls two days ago and Josie Baff won gold in the snowboard cross yesterday.

In relentless conditions, with snow continuing to fall throughout all stages of competition, Anthony was unwavering in the dual competition – where skiers race side-by-side – defeating five competitors on her way to the top of the podium.
Saturday’s result is redemption for the 27-year-old, who was favourite to win gold in the women’s event three days ago, before a slip in the finals saw her miss the podium and finish in eighth.
The result solidifies Anthony as one of the sport’s greatest, after she eliminated Elizabeth Lemley and Jaeline Kauf, the gold and silver medal winners from three days ago, in the semi-final and final to claim victory.
Anthony’s triumph meant Kauf won her second moguls silver for the 2026 Games, while Lemley won bronze.
