Convicted scammer Anna Delvey is reportedly writing a new book and working on a documentary while she faces ongoing immigration problems in the United States.

Delvey, whose real name is Anna Sorokin, shot to fame after being convicted of fraud for posing as a wealthy German heiress. Delvey first became a public figure after her case inspired the Netflix series Inventing Anna.

She is now under house arrest in New York while immigration authorities continue deportation proceedings against her.

The new memoir is said to cover her life before and after her fraud case. It will also focus on her trial and her current legal situation.

The book is reportedly already partly written. A documentary project is also in development.

Delvey has said the aim is to change how she is viewed in the media. She wants to move attention away from her past crimes.

“There’s this assumption that life freezes at the moment the internet decides who you are, but in reality, you still have to keep evolving while everyone else keeps projecting an outdated version of you onto the screen,” she told TMZ.

She has described the project as a way to talk about “media, perception, ambition, reputation and the economics of attention.”

Since leaving prison, she has stayed in the public eye through media appearances and collaborations. She previously appeared on Dancing with the Stars. She has also worked with lifestyle and media brands while living under supervision.

Delvey is currently fighting to stay in the US as immigration officials push for her deportation to Germany over visa violations.
