The 2026 AFL Grand Final will be headlined by Australian music icon Kylie Minogue.
The announcement is set to officially be locked in by the league this week, with the 57-year-old to take the MCG by storm.

While rumours had swirled Minogue would perform during halftime of a twilight grand final, the league locked in the traditional 2:30pm timeslot for the big game for the next two years.
On Sunday evening, Seven’s Mitch Cleary reported Minogue will be confirmed as the headline act within the next week.
Minogue was previously sussed out to perform in 2023 before the league eventually went with US rockers KISS.
Minogue will be the first Australian act to perform since Eskimo Joe in 2021, when the match was played in Perth.
Since the Grand Final returned to the MCG, the AFL has turned to overseas talent in Robbie Williams, Kiss, Katy Perry and most recently Snoop Dogg to perform.
There had been speculation the marquee match would move to a 3.20pm or later start to appeal to broadcasters and generate overseas interest.
But the AFL is maintaining its belief a day match will “deliver the best possible Grand Final experience”.
“We are already undertaking significant work on Tasmania entering the AFL in 2028, so it makes sense to lock in the Grand Final start time for the next two seasons and provide everyone with clarity,” AFL boss Andrew Dillon said.
“Our role is to deliver the best possible Grand Final experience – for the 100,000 fans at the MCG and the millions watching on broadcast – and together with our Grand Final broadcast partner, the Seven Network, we remain committed to making it the biggest and best sporting event in the country.
“The season has started strongly, the footy has been exciting, crowds have been strong, and there is plenty to look forward to over the next month with Gather Round and Anzac Day ahead.”
AFL commission chair Craig Drummond said it was important to provide the fans with “clarity”.
“The Toyota AFL Grand Final is the best day on the Australian sporting calendar. It is the biggest moment in our game,” he said.
“Everyone who loves footy has a view on the right start time for our biggest game of the year, and for at least the next two seasons it will remain in its traditional afternoon timeslot at the MCG.
“The Commission agreed it was important to provide fans and clubs with certainty now, while also allowing the AFL to continue to plan on our 19th club entering the competition in two years’ time.”
