Michael ‘Venom’ Page was on the receiving end of boos after his welterweight win over Sam Patterson.
The UK MMA fan favourite finally made had his home bout as a UFC fighter on a stacked card at London’s O2 Arena on Sunday morning (AEDT).

But he failed to deliver the highlight reel finish he desired, much to the frustration of fans, who booed him during and after the fight – which he won via unanimous decision.
Several fans took to X to slam the lack of activity in the contest, with one saying: “This fight between Michael Page and Sam Patterson has been a complete disaster.
“Utter snoozefest and a total waste of time.”
Another said: “The worst fight I’ve ever seen.”
A third wrote: “Another MVP snoozefest.”
One remarked: “Says it all when the guy doesn’t even get a post fight interview!
“Michael Venom Page … Another bore fest!!!”
While Page found himself on the receiving end of boos, the crowd and fight fans watching on were treated to a fight of the year contender earlier in the card.
Mason Jones and Axel Sola were the featured fight on the prelim card and the lightweight fighters delivered in spades.
The duo delivered a bloody three round battle with both men swinging for the fences from the opening bell until the end.
While Sola landed some quality shots of his own, even knocking Jones to the mat in the opening round, it was Jones who delivered the most savage shots which left Sola sporting a horrific wound under his right eye.
At the end of the third round, it was Jones who had his hand raised with a unanimous decision victory (30-27, 29-28 and 29-28).
Fans watching on were quick to call the bout a fight of the year contender with the two men walking away with an extra $100,000 in their pocket after being awarded the fight of the night bonus.
