Two men have been stabbed after a luxury home was invaded by armed intruders who remain on the run.

Police said a “number of males” entered a two story white stone property on Stirling Close in Greenvale, 20km north of Melbourne’s CBD, just before midnight on Friday.

During the invasion, the address’s two male occupants, aged 48 and 35, were stabbed before being taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

“The offenders were wearing dark clothing and believed to be aged in their early 20s,” police said.

“They fled the scene in a dark-coloured SUV and are yet to be located at this stage.”

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident have not been determined and investigations are ongoing.
