Track good 4 and rail out 9m from 1100m to WP & +7m the remainder.
Race 1
2. Greyt Thinker was strong through the line in winning a handy maiden at Hawkesbury second-up. Comes back a shade in trip, but trained here and can go right on with the job. 1. Eagles Beware is a lightly raced market watch resuming off a long break and two trials. 3. Ghielmi is a stablemate of the top selection which is also accepted for a race later on the program. Failed dismally when resuming as an odds-on favourite in a weak Class 1. More comfortable over this trip and blinkers are back on. 5. Nantucket Island is another one returning off a lengthy break and two trials for a new Hawkesbury stable. Gap to the rest.
How to play it: Greyt Thinker to win.
Race 2
1. Waerea is on the rise after hitting the line to miss by a head here on debut, with a decent gap back to third. Up in weight, but drawn to find a nice trail right behind the speed, and emerges as the one to beat. Big watch on 3. Super Scotch, a colt by Super Seth on debut for the John O’Shea and Tom Charlton stable behind two soft city trials, and is bred to get further. The market is also the best indicator with 2. Savvy Spy, a three-year-old by Savabeel on debut for the Waterhouse-Bott stable off two trials. 6. Swing State can improve into his second start; while 4. Tormanzor is a three-year-old debutant from the Annabel and Rob Archibald yard.
How to play it: Waerea to win.
Racing returns to Kembla Grange on Monday.
Race 3
4. Luna Bay is an emerging metropolitan filly which can go one better after missing narrowly at this track on debut after solid market support. The extra 100m is a plus, and so too the inside gate where she can get a sweet run behind the speed in a race of many chances. 9. Bondi Blossom is a progressive filly and the immediate threat third-up from an economical draw. 6. Made It Italy caught the eye on debut flashing home late into a place from a wide draw, finishing right behind the top selection. 2. Bella Wahine will find this more to her liking after running home OK on debut at Warwick Farm when specked in the market at a big price. 5. Tragedies is lightly raced and gradually working towards a breakthrough win after working home nicely in Luna Bay’s race 16 days ago. 8. Let’s Be Honest is a second-start improver which can run into the minor money. Expect sharp improvement from 1. Miss Joy, which did nothing on debut at Hawkesbury.
How to play it: Luna Bay to win.
Race 4
10. Love Rustler is a filly by Hellbent on debut with gear additions for the Peter Snowden stable. Plenty to like about her second trial where she worked home strong on the bridle from near last. Drawn to get plenty of cover off the speed and will be strong late with clear air. 1. City Gold Field is primed to break through after running into a place here second-up. 7. Iron Legend, a debutant by Dundeel from the Hawkes yard, has been given plenty of time since working home strongly behind a promising one in a trial five weeks ago, but drawn wide. 12. Saloon Passage is another stepping out for the first time behind a solid on-speed trial for the Chris Waller stable. Bred to get further being by Contributor. 2. Playbill is a four-year-old first starter by superstar The Autumn Sun and a big betting watch off two handy trials. 3. Superata, reloading off a seven-week break and soft trial, and 5. Aristocrat, also returning off two trials as a gelding with blinkers removed, both go in wider exotic plays.
How to play it: Love Rustler to win.
