‘The Boys’ actor Tomer Capone caught in controversy

Israeli actor Tomer Capone, best known for his role as Frenchie in the television series The Boys, is drawing renewed online scrutiny after a 2016 interview discussing his military service resurfaced on social media.

In the interview with Israeli outlet Ynet, Capone spoke about serving in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Paratroopers Brigade as both a combat soldier and later a commander.

He described the early period of his service as intense and emotionally complex, recalling long deployments, close bonds among soldiers and challenging operational conditions.

Capone reportedly discussed participating in night raids, checkpoint duties and encounters with civilians, acknowledging moments of tension, confusion and what he characterized as operational “chaos.”

The resurfaced remarks have prompted debate online as the actor’s global profile has grown, with some users questioning whether Amazon should respond.

Neither Capone nor Amazon has publicly commented on the renewed attention.
