Teyana Taylor is feeling secure and happy in her romance with Aaron Pierre.

During an appearance on Sherri, the One Battle After Another actress, 34, shared her thoughts on her relationship with Pierre, who she affectionately refers to as “apple pie.”

“I mean Luther [Vandross] said ‘Never Too Much,’ right?” Taylor said, breaking into song. “Never too much apple pie.”

Taylor and Pierre went Instagram official with their relationship in June 2025 after months of flirting on social media. When asked about her beau, Taylor gets “all blushy” and says she feels good about their relationship. “I feel good. And it feels good to feel good,” she continued.

When asked for advice on finding a romance as sweet as hers, Taylor emphasised the importance of being willing to love unarmored.

“I think the most important thing is, no matter where you come from, whether it’s a heartbreak, wherever, I think the best thing is to be willing to love unarmored,” she said. “I think if you come with a wall built, it’ll block your blessings, you know?”

The conversation also turned to Taylor’s on-screen chemistry with Leonardo DiCaprio in One Battle After Another. When asked about her “sexual chemistry” with the Academy Award-winning star, Taylor replied that it was her “job.”

“You can’t tell me that was work, Mama!” host Sherri Shepherd joked. Taylor responded by emphasising her appreciation for Pierre. “Babe, did you see my apple pie?” she said. “My eyes are on my prize, okay?”

When asked how Pierre deals with her intimate on-camera moments, Taylor said, “I mean, we’re both very secure. And when we understand what the prize is, we’re not worried about if anybody is stepping outside of that prize trying to look for another one.”
