Taylor Swift could very well be gracing the stage of Super Bowl 2026 while her fiancé Travis Kelce plays on the field after the biggest hint yet.
The 35-year-old pop superstar sparked rumours for her first Super Bowl performance because this would be the only year an iconic moment can be created with her and Kelce both performing what they’re best at.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was asked to weigh in on the Eras Tour performer taking the stage, at the Today show on Wednesday, September 3, upon which he played coy.
Goodell told the hosts that he “would always love to have Taylor play,” adding, “She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time.”
When asked to confirm whether the performance is “in the works,” he teased, “I can’t tell you anything about that. It’s a maybe.”
Goodell went on to share that he is waiting on Jay-Z to “help me” with the decision, referring to the rapper’s Roc Nation company which produces the halftime show.
“It’s in his hands. I’m waiting for the smoke to come out,” the NFL official concluded.
Swifties have been waiting for their fingers crossed for a halftime performance by the Grammy winner for years.
This year the anticipation is even more special because of her beau being in the game, who is going to retire after this season.
