Rory McIlroy will splash out more than $A450 per head for his Masters dinner, which makes his menu the most expensive of all time.

The Irishman won the famous green jacket in 2025 and will now get to pick what’s on the menu for his first ever Masters Champion Dinner.

He made an eclectic set of choices, stretching from elk sliders and traditional Irish champ.

McIlroy also went for wagyu filet mignon, salmon, shrimp tempura and tuna carpaccio with foie gras.

For dessert, he will serve up a simple sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and toffee sauce.

Guests will wash all that down with champagne and a selection of high-end wines.

And McIlroy’s meal will be the most costly to produce in the history of the illustrious dinner.

The Irishman’s menu clocks in at a stunning $318 ($A459) per head, making it nearly three times more expensive than Scottie Scheffler‘s menu last year.

Scheffler’s meal came in at just £85 per head after dishing up cheeseburger sliders, chilli and ribeye steak.

But with McIlroy making a set of extravagant and unusual choices for his menu, it comfortably beats the second-most expensive menu from 2022.

Back then, Hideki Matsuyama’s menu of sushi, miso black cod and wagyu ribeye cost around £174 ($A333) per head.

In third place is John Rahm, whose 2024 menu cost £142 ($271) per head after he chose a selection of tapas, crab salad, Basque ribeye and turbot.

Other golfers in the top ten are Patrick Reed, Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Jordan Spieth, Tiger Woods and Danny Willett.

McIlroy explained some of his bizarre menu choices for the dinner, which takes place on April 7.

Moment Nick Faldo knew Greg Norman was 'in trouble'

He said: “When I was a kid, I used to eat champ by the bowl full. So I’m trying to tie in a little bit of my upbringing.

“In the build up to the Masters last year, I was eating a lot of elk. I got this big shipment of elk, and I was eating a lot of that.

“[But] I didn’t want elk to be the main course, because I didn’t know if everyone would like that, so I incorporated it into the appetisers.”

McIlroy’s menu has been a long time in the making after he finally won The Masters at his 17th attempt to become just the sixth golfer to complete the Grand Slam.

He needed a playoff to defeat Englishman Justin Rose after holding the lead going into the final day.
