Football fans have gone into meltdown over a remarkable “rabona” goal in Morocco which many are already calling the best strike of 2026.
The incredible piece of skill came courtesy of MAS Fes star Driss El Jabli in their 1-0 win over Wydad FC in the Morrocan top flight.
The 27-year-old received the ball on the edge of the area, took a touch to get it out of his feet, and then produced the astonishing piece of skill to find the far top corner.
The “rabona” technique comprises of the kicking leg being crossed behind the back of the standing leg.

It is a difficult enough skill to perform, let alone to get the required contact to sweep the ball into the top corner.
El Jabli’s teammates were left absolutely stunned at what he had just managed — with one seen running over to him with his hands on his head in utter disbelief.
And fans on social media had equally shocked responses as they hailed it a Puskas Award winner — which is given to the best goal of the year across world football.
Rafael Gomez said: “Driss El Jabli just scored the best goal of the year. From a rebound and from outside the box.”
Nahuel Lanzon added: “INCREDIBLE OUTSIDE-THE-BOX RABONA GOAL. PUSKAS MATERIAL FOR SURE.”
Que Jogada replied: “That absolute belter that just went down in the Moroccan League… PUSKAS AWARD FOR THAT ONE!”
While bt3 reacted: “Not artificial intelligence… what you’re seeing is reality!!!!!!!!!A historic goal.”
And Varan 2.0 said: “It’s the most beautiful of the year. There’s no debate!!!!!!!”
To make the goal even more breathtaking, El Jabli is a defender who plays at centre-back for Mas Fer.
His strike could yet join a host of superstar names in winning the Puskas Award — including Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Son Heung-min and Mo Salah.
