Demonstrating that the extended Amadee-Paquin trend could be a diagonal tensional shear structure would suggest it could be one of many likely to exist between the North Bousquet Fault and the Cadillac Break – as a result of their respective movements – but this would require confirmation through detailed structural studies.

Existing VLF interpretations indicate multiple parallel, similar structures, one of which appears to host the nearby Paquin Deeps – north of Paquin. A similar structure further north hosts the CB-1 prospect.

Fifteen of the recent diamond holes await logging and sampling, with results expected over the coming months. Olympio’s geological team is analysing data to plan the next drilling phase, while regional data reviews are identifying new targets.

If the interpretation of multiple complementary diagonal tensional shear sets between the North Bousquet Fault and the Cadillac Break can be proven, the outcome could be game-changing.

Multiple opposing shear sets have already been interpreted from VLF EM, which could mean that intersections between opposing shear sets could also host new targets, of which CB-1 could be an example.

Positive CB-1 results could go some way to supporting this structural model, with assays expected soon.

These interpretations, if confirmed by structural studies and pending assays, could reveal significant additional target potential.

Olympio holds an option to acquire an 80 per cent interest in Bousquet from Bullion Gold Resources, having paid C$300,000 (A$330,000) and invested nearly C$1 million (A$1.09 million) in exploration toward a C$2 million (A$2.18 million) commitment.

Bousquet is within 15km of major gold mines, including Agnico Eagle’s 15.8-million-ounce La Ronde mine and IAMGOLD’s 2.4-million-ounce Westwood operations, and holds significant potential.

With pending assays and detailed structural analysis already underway, Olympio is well-positioned to make significant advances at its Bousquet exploration on the prolific Cadillac Break.
