Marco Rossi scores with seconds left to give Canucks win over Ducks

Marco Rossi scored with just 9.5 seconds remaining to lift the Vancouver Canucks to a 4-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks, delaying Anaheim’s chance to secure a playoff spot.

According to TSN, Rossi struck with a one-timer from the right circle, beating goaltender Lukas Dostal in the closing moments to seal the victory.

The Ducks remain on 90 points and can still clinch a playoff place with a win in their next game.

Vancouver, despite sitting at the bottom of the NHL standings with 56 points, was steady throughout the game.

Curtis Douglas, Jake DeBrusk and Brock Boeser each scored for the Canucks, while goaltender Nikita Tolopilo made 24 saves.

Anaheim was led by Cutter Gauthier, who scored twice to reach a career-high 40 goals this season.

The 22-year-old becomes just the fourth player in franchise history to hit that mark. Leo Carlsson also found the net.

The Ducks had battled back to tie the game 3-3 in the third period after goals from Gauthier and Carlsson. However, Rossi’s late strike ensured the Canucksgfot away with the win.
