The existing height limits are 10 storeys around Carindale shopping centre, and 20 storeys at Indooroopilly. Planning rules will be changed at both locations to make it easier for developers to construct taller buildings.

In Nundah, the existing limit of 12 storeys will remain, but changes will allow more residential homes in mixed-use buildings.

Work on the plan will begin shortly, with community consultation next year.

Full details are expected to be announced by Schrinner on Wednesday at a Lord Mayor’s Vision for Brisbane event at Star Casino.
