Priceless artefacts have been stolen from the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology in an overnight heist north of Brisbane.

A man smashed a window at the museum and entered the premises on The Abbey Place in Caboolture about 3am on Friday.

He then allegedly stole four artefacts, including a statue and bust.
