An Endeavour Hills night shift worker got the shock of his life on Thursday morning, discovering he had won $1m in Wednesday night’s Weekday Windfall draw.

The Victorian held the only division 1 winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4684 on Wednesday, April 1.

As he was walking out of work after his shift on Thursday morning, The Lott rang him with the news.

“Oh my god, I’m about to have a heart attack!” he exclaimed.

“That’s good news! That’s a big surprise. I’ve just stepped out of work. I’d just finished my night shift and walked out the door … what a surprise.”

The man said he would be walking out of work with “zero stress” after hearing the life-changing news.

“I’ve got a home loan to pay off first, and I’d love to buy a new house with a swimming pool. It’s always been something we’ve wanted for the kids, and now we can. I might even take a little break and have a holiday too.”

His usual routine after a shift would be to go home and sleep.

“I don’t think I’ll sleep today,” he said.

The man’s winning 30-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app.
