Jimmy Kimmel’s unexpected suspension from his late-night show triggered a rift all across Hollywood.

It did not just affect the celebrities, but it also disturbed the prices of the streaming platforms.

After the viral controversy involving Kimmel occurred, multiple media and entertainment figures commended the consumers to cancel Hulu and Disney+ in objection.

Now with the return of the 57-year-old TV host’s late-night show, the streaming giant has raised the subscription fees.

On September 24, the media magnate released an official statement saying that it will be increasing the fees for the third time in three years on both its streaming platforms Disney+ and Hulu.

The ad-free tier of Disney+ will increase from $3 to $18.99 from October 21, whereas, the ad-supported subscription will climb by $2 to $11.99, reported Screen Daily.

Meanwhile, the annual ad-free subscription will rise from $30 to $189.99.

On the other hand, the bundle prices will also experience a hike in subscription fee like the Disney+ and Hulu bundle is going to rise to $12.99 from $10.9 and the Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select bundle with ads are going to hike by $19.99 from $16.99.

On the other hand, the premium bundle Disney+ Hulu along with ESPN Select without ads will rise by $29.99 from $26.99.

Netizens are not happy with the price hike shared by Disney. They expressed their disappointment on X.

One of them wrote, “They’re trying so hard to compensate for the $4 billion they lost LMAO.”

For the unversed, Kimmel was banned from his late-night show for his oblivious remarks over Charlie Kirk.
