Harper Beckham honors dad David with sweet gesture

David Beckham’s daughter Harper melted hearts with a sweet gift for her dad.

The former footballer took to his Instagram account on Tuesday to share that his 13-year-old daughter honored him with a pot of exquisite roses named after him, “The Sir David Beckham Rose.”

For those unversed, Harper, in collaboration with David Austin Roses, gifted David a hybrid rose on his 50th birthday.

In the picture captured at the greenhouse, a pot of light pink color roses can be seen behind the father-daughter duo.

Harper, donning a green jacket, can be seen posing for the picture by directly looking into the camera lens and leaning her one hand on David’s leg, while the dotting father, who sported a grey T shirt, beamed a smile.

David gushed, “The Sir David Beckham Rose from my little Rose.”

The proud dad expressed his gratitude to David Austin, noting, “@david_austin_roses thank you for this honor #HarperSeven @harperbeckham.”

The Instagram page for David Austin Roses, shared a detailed story behind how they made the exquisite rose, in a statement that read, “A rose begins with a story. This one begins with a daughter and a gift for her father’s 50th birthday.

“Sir David Beckham (Ausa34b16) is rooted in something deeply personal. A living symbol of family, resilience and enduring love, created to mark a milestone year and inspired by a touching request from his daughter Harper for his 50th birthday.”

”But beyond the story, it is above all a rose of great beauty,” they shared.

The Sir David Beckham (Ausa34b16) will be sold for £2.50, and all the sales will be “donated to The King’s Foundation, an organisation for which Sir David Beckham serves as an Ambassador, supporting its work nurturing communities and celebrating heritage and nature,” via the breeders of exquisite roses, founded in 1961.
