Carrie Underwood has been having a hard time accept the sudden death of her frequent collaborator, Brett James.
Taking it to Instagram, Carrie shared a bunch of memorable pictures she clicked with the late singer and songwriter along with detailed caption, where she expressed the pain, she feels after losing a dear friend.
She began writing, “Some things are just unfathomable. The loss of Brett James to his family, friends and our music community is too great to put into words.”
“Brett was the epitome of cool. I see him in my mind riding up to my cabins to write on his motorcycle [and] his hair somehow perfectly coiffed despite being under a helmet for however long”, underwood continued.
The 2005 American Idol winner revealed that she really liked hearing “Cowboy Casanova” in Brett’s voice, even though, she claimed the anthem should have sounded ridiculous coming from macho man. He was a good guy.
The Champion vocalist recalled, “I remember writing with him on a song that he basically wrote 75% of and had ready when he walked in the room.”
We filled in the blanks and added a little melody, and I told him after that I didn’t feel right splitting the credit evenly when he did most of the work. He wouldn’t have it. He insisted that everything be equal.”
As per Carried, Brett was “just that kind of guy…But the late singer somehow made that song cool too.”
The Grammy winner passed away on September 18 in North Caroline after his private jet, carrying two additional passengers, crashed. He was pronounced dead on site.
