Adrian Grenier has finally broken his silence on not being included in the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada.

For those unaware, in the 2006 American comedy film, Grenier plays the role of Nate Cooper, the boyfriend of Andrea “Andy” Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway.

The 49-year-old American actor is not returning to reprise his role in the iconic film The Devil Wears Parad 2, as Andy has a newfound love interest in the sequel shown in the trailer.

On Friday, March 13, he chatted with Us Weekly about being snubbed from The Devil Wears Parad 2, revealing that he never got a call from the creators.

Articulating his thoughts, Grenier said, “I would be bitter if I wasn’t so absolutely thrilled for Anne [Hathaway] and the crew, and excited for the sequel myself. I’m a fan of the movie, and so I look forward to seeing the sequel as well,” adding, “So yeah, I mean, obviously, I was disappointed [to not return], but you know, I can’t be in everything, you know?”

The Entourage star noted, “I mean, Andy’s moving up, and, you know, I get it. Nate’s the devil, according to some people.”

Even though Grenier is not included in the forthcoming sequel, he still hopes “they invite me to the premiere at least, come on!”

Notably, this interview of him comes after he publicly talked about his “disappointment” in a talk with Page Six.

He stated, “We’re all fans of the movie, whether or not we’re in it. Obviously, it was a disappointment that I didn’t get the call to be in the sequel, but I also understand there’s some backlash with Nate, the character, so that might have something to do with it.”

“But I think that just leaves room for a spinoff. Either way, it’s a disappointment. Either way, it leaves room for a beautiful spinoff in which Nate has his own film,” Adrian Grenier admitted.

Before concluding, it is noteworthy to mention that The Devil Wears Parad 2 will hit theatres on May 1, 2026.
