Charges have been laid against four boys, one as young as 11, over a police chase through Logan in an allegedly stolen car.

Police spotted a blue BYD Shark being driven dangerously through Woodridge about 8.10pm on Friday, less than an hour after the car was reportedly stolen from a Sunnybank shopping centre carpark.

The chase spanned several suburbs before returning to Logan, where police deployed a tyre deflation device, causing the driver to lose control on Birun Street, Woodridge.

Footage of the chase, released by the Queensland Police Service, shows the vehicle mounting median strips and swerving around cars.

Four juveniles – one aged 11 from Waterford West, two aged 13 from Waterford West and Eagleby, and one aged 14 from Kingston – were arrested at the scene and later charged with offences including unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

One of the 13-year-old boys was also charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, evading police, and driving without a licence.

The 11-year-old was also charged with possessing a knife in public.

All four boys will appear in court in the coming weeks.
