Ordinary people who do extraordinary things in the regions can be nominated for the Bush Champions Awards.
News Corp Australia seeks to celebrate rural folk who give back to the community, punch above their weight, trailblaze ideas and address the challenges of the bush.
The Bush Champions will be announced at the Bush Summit in Dubbo in August.
There are four categories – an Ag Champion, a Young Champion, a Community Champion and an Overall Champion.

Last year, South Australian farmer Ben Wundersitz, who runs a family cropping operation outside Maitland, was named the inaugural Ag and Overall Bush Champion.
He started the Fat Farmers program after realising he was out of shape.

His idea, which fostered better health, mateship and social connections, has grown into 35 Fat Farmers groups nationally.
Victoria’s Grace Larson was crowned Community Champion.
She launched the Sisterhood Project, which offers free infant and child first aid courses to vulnerable and low-income families.
