Gilmore Girls star Arielle Kebbel reflected on fans’ dislike over her character Lindsay.

More than two decades after the show first aired, Kebbel talked about the surprising shift in fan opinion surrounding her character.

Speaking with Stylecaster, Kebbel admitted she always understood why viewers initially disliked Lindsay, who dated and later married Dean Forester, played by Jared Padalecki.

She said, “I have such a love for her. She brought me into… I mean, she was my first acting job in L.A. ever.”

Adding, “And I also understood why fans hated her in the beginning, so I never — I was all good with all of it.”

For those unaware, Arielle Kebbel joined Gilmore Girls as Dean’s love interest in 2003. However, fans who hoped to see Dean and Rory together were unhappy.

However, she said the way it has now come “full circle” is the “most pleasant surprise” since she was king of “at peace with the whole thing.”

Kebbel said, “I’m flattered. I mean, the whole Justice for Lindsay thing, it warms my heart and brings me so much joy because wherever Lindsay is out there, it makes me smile and wink at her. I’m like, see? People see you now, girl. Good for you.”

It is pertinent to mention that Gilmore Girls ran from October 2000 to May 2007.
