Old Kim Kardashian video linked to SKIMS drug shipment case

An old video of Kim Kardashian has gone viral again after reports of a cocaine confiscation linked to a shipment of SKIMS products.

In the resurfaced clip, Kardashian is heard joking, “I love ecstasy.” The video went viral online as users connected it to recent news involving the ongoing drug trafficking case.

It is pertinent to mention that there is no evidence that Kardashian or her company SKIMS were involved in any criminal activity.

The case involves a UK investigation where border officials found around 90kg of cocaine hidden in a truck carrying legitimate SKIMS products from the Netherlands to the United Kingdom. The truck was stopped at the Port of Harwich in Essex.

Authorities said the clothing shipment itself was real and used as cover for smuggling drugs inside a hidden compartment.

The driver, Jakub Jan Konkel, later pleaded guilty to his role in the operation and received a prison sentence of more than 13 years.

Investigators confirmed that SKIMS, Kardashian, and the companies involved in shipping and importing were not accused of wrongdoing.

SKIMS also responded to the reports, saying it had no knowledge of any illegal activity related to the shipment. The company added that it was not linked to the driver or the smuggling operation.

Law enforcement officials have reiterated that the investigation focused only on those responsible for trafficking the drugs.

Despite this, the resurfaced video has led to online speculation and renewed attention on the case.
