A man has died after the ute he was a passenger in rolled off dirt road – injuring four others.

The horrific incident happened at about 12.30am on Saturday on Samson Road in Jingalup, in Western Australia’s Great Southern region.

A 24-year-old man was travelling southwest in a Toyota HiLux ute when he lost control of the vehicle and it rolled off the road.

The front seat passenger of the car, a 30-year-old man, suffered critical injuries in the impact and, tragically, died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle and three other passengers – a 20-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man – suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

They were all taken by paramedics to Kojonup Hospital for further treatment.

The scene was attended by paramedics from St Johns, firefighters and WA Police.

Following the tragedy, police in WA have appealed for anybody who may have information relating to what happened to come forward.

Officers have urged anybody to come forward with useful dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage relating to the crash.

Alternatively, anybody with any information can anonymously contact Crimestoppers online or via 1800 333 000.

Investigations are ongoing.
