The mother of ex-cop and alleged double murderer Beau Lamarre-Condon has been charged with allegedly attempting to influence a witness in her son’s upcoming trial.

Mr Lamarre-Condon, a former police officer, has been charged with the murder of Channel 10 presenter Jesse Baird and Mr Baird’s boyfriend, Qantas flight attendant Luke Davies.

NSW Police said on Wednesday that his mother, Coleen Lamarre, 63, had been charged with “attempting to influence a key witness to change their evidence” in the high profile double murder trial.

She was arrested in Balmain on Wednesday and taken to Day St Police Station where she was charged with one count of doing an act intending to pervert the course of justice.

She was refused bail and is due to appear in court on Thursday.

Ms Condon has previously attended court for her son’s pre-trial appearances.

Mr Lamarre-Condon is accused of using his police firearm to kill Mr Baird and Mr Davies at a Paddington share house in Sydney’s inner east before placing their bodies in surfboard bags and taking them to a remote property in the NSW southern tablelands.

Mr Lamarre-Condon was arrested in February 2024, four days after the bodies of Mr Baird and Mr Davies were found at a property near Goulburn.

He had been in a brief relationship with Mr Baird, with police alleging the former officer exhibited a pattern of “predatory” behaviour in the lead-up to the alleged double homicide.

Mr Lamarre-Condon was charged with domestic violence-related murder and break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He has pleaded not guilty and will fight the charges during a trial slated to begin in September this year.

Mr Lamarre-Condon has been dismissed from the NSW Police Force.
