A rumour has exploded that Lachie Neale and the woman at the centre of his marriage breakdown, Tess Crosley, are still in contact following cryptic social media posts.

Last week Crosley uploaded an Instagram carousel, including a photo taken at the Le Royale late-night bar, a new boujee establishment in Brisbane’s CBD, captioned with a love heart and a spade emoji.

The post immediately caught the eye of internet sleuths, given that the same band appeared to be playing at the same venue as in Neale’s Instagram story.

The Brisbane Lions star was tagged in the comments of Crosley’s post, but he did not reply.

The coincidence has sparked fresh rumours that the pair remain in contact, despite Neale previously denying that was the case.

It is unclear if they were both there on the same night.

The former Mormon missionary has continued to share cryptic captions, bikini selfies and ‘thirst traps’ on social media, but has remained mostly silent on her alleged role in Neale’s marriage breakdown.

Crosley set tongues wagging in February, posting a picture on a boat with a scarf over her face captioned: “There is always another story, there is more than meets the eye”. That post has since been deleted.

Jules Neale shares video saying she's been crying for hours

The Neales split in December, with Jules stating she had suffered an “unimaginable betrayal”.

After their messy break-up was played out in the public eye, Neale fronted the media in early January, saying “I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions”. He did not clarify how he had let his family down.

At the same press conference, the 32-year-old stepped down as co-captain of reigning premiers Brisbane.

While he admitted last week on SEN that there isn’t much he can do to repair the damage done.

“I suppose there’s not much you can do to repair some of the stuff in the off-season,’’ he said on SEN last week.

“But for me, yeah, just delving into my footy and getting to work has been a little bit of therapy in a way. That’s been a relief for me in some sort of weird way.”

Jules is making a fresh start as a hairdresser and content creator in Perth, where she has moved with the two kids she shares with Neale.

While the pair are now co-parenting their children, Jules hit out over vision of their daughter Piper shared on the Brisbane Lions’ social media page last week.

Lachie Neale shares emotional moment with daughter

The two-time Brownlow Medal winner was given the honour for his 300th game and carried his four-year-old daughter, Piper, out onto the field in front of thousands of people.

However, the live TV moment was too much for young Piper, who broke down in tears.

The Lions shared the footage on Instagram with the caption: “Our shy queen,” which greatly upset Jules.

“She’s not shy,” Jules snapped. “She’s scared and it’s not funny.”

As a result, the Lions deleted the video from their social media channels.
